Spend an Afternoon with Florida’s Wildlife!
This beautiful state park surrounds the natural freshwater springs and headwaters of the Homosassa River. Visitors get to mingle with Florida’s natural wildlife in a natural setting while traveling over one mile of paved trails and boardwalk.
The park encompasses a first-magnitude freshwater spring, pumping millions of gallons of crystal-clear water every hour, which is the major source of the beautiful Homosassa River.
Visit the “Fish Bowl”, an underwater observatory where you can view manatees and many species of fish from behind glass walls. The educational center provides information about Florida’s wildlife, including manatees, alligators, bears, panthers, many fishes and birds. Enjoy a tram or boat ride to the park from the visitors center.
Park hours are 9am to 5pm, 365 days a year.
